The primary mission of the trust is to provide high-quality education and promote science education that benefits humanity as a whole. Operating as a non-profit organization, the Pacif Educational and Welfare Trust is unwaveringly committed to the holistic development of the region through the provision of the right education. Pacif Institute of Cosmology and Selfology (PICS) is the first unit of the trust founded in 2023. With the accomplishments of PICS serving as a solid foundation, the trust will set its sights on the next phase of its journey—the establishment of Pacif University. Guided by the astute leadership of Dr. Shibesh Kumar Jas Pacif, the trust and its affiliated institutions remain steadfast in their commitment to making a lasting impact on the education sector and the holistic development of the region, the nation, and ultimately, humanity as a whole. By upholding their core values and pursuing their noble mission, the trust aims to contribute meaningfully to the progress of education and the betterment of society at large.

In 2023, the visionary young scientist, Prof. Shibesh Kumar Jas Pacif, embarked on a transformative journey to establish the Pacif Educational and Welfare Trust. Prof. Shibesh Kumar obtained his basic education from the village of Sagara in Sambalpur District, Odisha. He earned his BSc, MSc, and M.Phil. Degrees from Sambalpur University and a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Throughout his education and experiences, Prof. Shibesh Kumar witnessed the challenges faced by both himself and students in the region while striving for a quality education. This served as a driving force behind this remarkable journey. Fuelled by a profound motivation to enhance the educational landscape in the regions of western Odisha, he envisioned a future, where every individual, irrespective of their background or social status, could access top-notch education. His noble vision aimed to uplift the lives of countless individuals and bring about positive change in the region and all over the world through right education. With unwavering dedication and a passion for fostering scientific temper, critical thinking, higher as well as right education and consciousness growth, he established the trust as a beacon of knowledge and compassion in the region. His extensive experience in teaching mathematics and conducting research in cosmology fuelled his passion for research, teaching, and popularizing science among schoolchildren. This led him to undertake this remarkable initiative with the vision to shape the minds of countless students, empowering them to become responsible citizens and drive positive change in society.
